From strategy to execution - Helping clients solve their most critical challenges

By Jim Moffatt - January 14, 2013

Dttl_Monitor Deloitte_adjacent_320x212In virtually every conversation we have with our clients, we hear about the same core challenge: Organizations are facing near-constant change, and the time they have to react and make decisions is getting shorter.

Whether the challenge is rooted in the global economy, new regulations, emerging technology or something else, companies must gather as much information as possible, conduct vigorous analysis, and decide whether to shift strategy, all with increased outside scrutiny. Every decision is analyzed in real-time, so the room for error is getting smaller and every mistake is magnified.

That’s why we are so excited to welcome the Monitor team to Deloitte. This transaction combines the strengths of both our networks – including thought leadership, talent, resources, and global reach -- to further solidify Deloitte as a worldwide leader in strategy consulting.

At the core of this transaction is a simple principle that has long guided our work at Deloitte: We are committed to helping our clients create new value and achieve transformational growth. Deloitte provides true executable strategy services. By adding Monitor talent and capabilities, we are strengthening our edge in the marketplace.

Executable strategy fuses insightful thinking with disciplined execution to achieve breakthrough performance. And that’s what drew us to Monitor. For nearly three decades, Monitor has developed a well-earned reputation for delivering to clients insights that were rooted in great research, detailed analysis, and a collegial and collaborative approach. Because of these strengths, we know that the Monitor team will be a great fit for Deloitte.

Deploying our incredibly talented teams together across Deloitte’s global base, we believe we can provide to clients a distinctive set of services that fuse intelligent strategic insight and innovation with disciplined execution. Our goal for our clients is the same goal we hold for ourselves: To be leaders and to shape the future.

In the coming months, we expect our clients will see the impact, both in the kinds of conversations they have with Monitor Deloitte teams, and the results they see in their own businesses. In an uncertain and often challenging world, every edge and every insight is valued. And by that standard, thanks to the addition of Monitor talent and capabilities, we expect to be an even more valuable organization for our clients.
